Our submission for 2021 GMTK Jam :)
A short documentary-style game about shapeshifters getting it on. Well, trying too.
Controls

Goal: Impress your desired partner by gathering the same body parts they wear. Fan-cy!
That's it, have fun ;)
The browser version is up to date, the downloadable ones are euqal to the Version submitted in the Jam.
Known Bugs in the Jam Version (Downloadables):
Type | Description | Cause | Status |
---|---|---|---|
Visual | The target shapeshifter in the tank in the level itself does not update the target bodyparts (while the one in the UI does) | Last Minute optimization caused a Godot signal to be left unconnected | Fixed in Browser-Version |
Visual | If you dispatch a human right before a level is (re-)loaded the body part might still end up being displayed in the UI | The level transition actually doesn't stop any ongoing animations. | yet to be fixed |
Audio | The voice line of level 6 playes on level 5 | ... the voice files were a last minute addition. In-engine the levels are just numbered 1 to 7, the audio files 1-6 with the first level audio filed named tutorial.... | Fixed in Browser Version |
Audio | If the player skips through the levels or fails real quick, multiple narrator voice lines may overlap. That also may cause the music to get set back to normal volume during a voice line, if a overlapping one ended. | Ran out of time to decide on either cutting of, or queuing those voice lines. | yet to be fixed |

Ja
First take I've seen of this kind for the jam! I loved the voiceover and sound effects, really added to the finished feel of the game.
Thanks, our artist Treis had to munch a cucumber really loudly to make it work <3
